Applique Border Tea Towel Tutorial

Stretch your design stash! Your embroidery machine is a SEWING machine too—let it sew for you! This tutorial will show you how to make a tea towel using sturdy woven cotton fabric and a scalloped cutwork machine embroidery design (included with this tutorial!) to create the appliqué border. All the border work is done in the hoop, and the tea towel is finished with a little machine sewing. Step-by-step instructions with plenty of photos make this a fun and simple project. Add other designs of your choice to personalize your tea towel; the tutorial instructions tell you how to do that too!

NOTE – Our sample towel was further embellished with an idyllic scene and tiny flowers from the Zen Garden set. Those designs are not included with this project.
