I’ve Been Framed! Quilt Pattern

Frame beautiful embroidery designs, printed photo fabrics or unique antique textiles (or whatever else tickles your fancy) and create a beautiful quilt or quilted wall hanging! This printed pattern contains two frame appliqués and a curved quilt border template. Printed illustrated instructions give directions for making freezer paper templates with the frame patterns for turned edge appliqués, applying the appliqués by machine or hand, and using the frames to showcase large embroidery designs. Suggestions for finishing the quilt and adding other embellishments are also included. 

Each frame requires approximately 16” x 20” of fabric or 1 fat quarter. To make a quilt similar to the sample one shown, you will need approximately 2 yards of quilt top fabric and 2 yards of quilt back fabric, plus batting and fabric for the bias binding. The frames shown here were stuffed to create added dimension. Instructions to do so are included with the pattern directions. The frames are large enough to enclose a 6” x 10” or slightly larger embroidery design. 

The pattern package contains printed paper patterns for the oval and rectangle frame appliqués, a border template, and printed instructions.
