The pumpkins are always plentiful when you can sew your own… make a basket full of these beautifully embellished pumpkins!

The pumpkin side panels and leaves are made in the hoop (you’ll need a hoop that can accommodate a 4.81″ x 9.54″ design); it takes 5 side panels to form a pumpkin. Then the pumpkin is constructed with regular machine sewing, fabric glue, and a few hand stitches.

This set includes six different pumpkin side panel options, two sizes of a blank pumpkin side panel for you to personalize, and a pumpkin leaf (also in two sizes). The floral embroideries included on the pumpkin side panels are excerpted from Marlow’s Wreath & Flower Collection and Garden Gnome Florals (which coordinate with the original Garden Gnomes set), so these pumpkins will go nicely with projects you make from those design sets.

Embroidery and construction directions are included in the step-by-step PDF instructions, along with lots of helpful hints and tips!

In addition to the designs, the zip file download contains a PDF with color charts, fabric suggestions, instructions for stabilizing the project fabric, and step-by-step directions to complete the stuffed pumpkin. Design templates to print are also provided. 

Hoop size requirement: 6×10

Recommended fabrics: Lightweight wool–such as wool crepe, bouclé, challis or flannel–or cotton flannel are recommended for the pumpkins. (Fabrics that have a little “give” and can stretch well on the bias will work best!) The pumpkin leaf and stem are made of felt.
