Pumpkin Quilt Block

This pumpkin quilt block is “paper pieced” and stippled – all in the hoop! The design is provided in five different sizes: 5″, 6″, 7″, 7.78″ and 8″. Step-by-step illustrated instructions make it super easy to stitch up a masterpiece! (Directions for Evy’s favorite method of binding and backing are also included.) This design is great for a small stand-alone project, but it can also be easily combined with additional blocks for larger projects. For example, use it with quilt blocks from the Easy Piece-y collection or the Autumn Stippling set!

Note! The table runner shown in the photos features the Pumpkin Quilt Block along with the Maple Leaf quilt block from the Easy Piece-y collection. The blocks in the middle of the table runner are from Autumn Stippling.

You may wish to skip the last stitch sequence (the all-over free motion stippling) and quilt as you wish instead! The sample hot pad shown here was quilted on Baby Lock’s Sashiko machine and further embellished with a Sashiko flip-stitched vine and felt leaf with a feather-stitched edge.
