Make a beautiful United States of America flag! This project combines machine embroidery AND regular machine sewing.
Embroidery designs for the 50-star block are included: The largest one (9.39” x 12.97”) allows you to embroider all 50 stars at once, but it has also been split into three smaller designs (each no larger than 4.67” x 9.39”) which may be stitched consecutively to achieve the same result with a smaller hoop. The flag is then constructed with regular machine sewing. The finished flag is about 19.5″ x 37″.
Embroidery, fabric cutting, and sewing directions are provided, plus tips for finishing. You may wish to make a simple pillowcase lined flag OR turn it into a mini quilt! This flag would also look splendid as a large decorative pillow.
The following design formats are included for the stars embroidery designs: ART, EXP, HUS, JEF, PES, VIP and VP3. PDF design templates are provided for the three “split” designs. (The full 50-star design is too large for a printed template.)
