Let's Make Pretties!

Boo Achoo!

Price: $15.00

Turn your tissue box into a spooky house this Halloween season!

The walls and roof of this tissue box cover are made in the hoop (a 6×10 hoop is required) – the walls are made from felt, and the roof is made from fabric. The house is then constructed with regular machine sewing and a bit of fabric glue! The step-by-step PDF instructions (with plenty of photos) show you how to complete the tissue box cover. Applique instructions are also included for the machine embroidery applique portions of the house.

The Boo Achoo tissue box cover will fit a Puffs (R) brand tissue box which measures 5” tall, 4.5” wide, and 4 – 5/8” long. (The largest side of the box is intended to be the House SIDE.) This project calls for a 1/2” seam allowance. If your tissue box is larger than these measurements, you can adjust the seam allowance slightly to make the cover fit.

PLEASE NOTE! Wool/rayon felt is highly recommended for this project. (Click HERE to find some! You’ll need 2 pieces to build the walls of your Boo Achoo house.) If you wish to use less expensive acrylic or polyester craft felt, you will need to fuse woven interfacing to the wrong side to create sturdier felt. Quilt weight cotton that has been backed with Soft Loft Fusible or another firm, fusible cut-away stabilizer may also be used in place of felt.
