Let's Make Pretties!

Bless You House

Price: $15.00

Give your tissues a happy home with this fun tissue box cover! This project would make a cheerful addition to any room of the house… or even a classroom!

The walls and roof of this tissue box cover are made in the hoop (a 6×10 and 5×7 hoop are required); the walls are made from felt (or fabric) and the roof is made from fabric. The house is then constructed with regular machine sewing and a bit of fabric glue! The step-by-step PDF instructions (with plenty of photos) show you how to complete the tissue box cover. Applique instructions are also included for the machine embroidery applique portions of the house.

The Bless You House tissue box cover will fit a Puffs brand cube tissue box which measures 5” tall, 4.5” wide, and 4 – 5/8” long. (The largest side of the box is intended to be the House SIDE.) This project calls for a 1/2” seam allowance. If your tissue box is larger than these measurements, you can adjust the seam allowance slightly to make the cover fit.

NOTE! We have ✨kits✨ available for this project – CLICK HERE to find them! If you plan to gather your own materials, please note that wool/rayon felt is highly recommended for the walls of the Bless You House. (Click HERE to find wool/rayon felt; you will need 2 pieces to build the walls.) If you wish to use less expensive acrylic or polyester craft felt, you’ll need to fuse woven interfacing to the wrong side to create sturdier felt. Quilt weight cotton that has been backed with Soft Loft Fusible or another firm, fusible cut-away stabilizer may also be used in place of felt.
