Lovely 3D flowers to celebrate Spring! These dogwood, pansy and violet designs are perfect for Mother’s Day, Easter, birthdays or just “I’m thinking of you” days. Each bloom is very easy to make, and addictive – you won’t be able to make just one – you’ll want a whole bouquet!
The flower petals and leaves are stitched in the hoop, then cut out and assembled by hand either with fabric glue or a few hand stitches. Make a stunning corsage for a special someone by adding bits of trim, beading, ribbon and charms. Or create simply beautiful flower brooches by sewing a brooch pin to the back of a single bloom. These flowers can be used in many other fun projects such as frames, greeting cards, scrapbook pages, guest towels, curtains, pillows and covered boxes.
NOTE – Silk organza and cotton organdy are the suggested fabrics for these and other 3D flower designs. These fabrics hold the stitching well, do not whisker badly (like polyester organza), and lend a beautiful crisp yet soft touch to the blooms. No stabilizer is required for these designs when using silk organza or cotton organdy. Check out our silk organza fat quarters! Also, Farmhouse Fabrics has lovely cotton organdy!

The baby headband shown in the photo gallery is made with the violet petals from this set plus the flower design from Pretty Little Flower Tutorial. The Pretty Little Flower is also shown beside the violets on the corner of the wall hanging in the last photo. A few of the corsages shown include the rose and hydrangea petals from Summer Blooms.
