Hankie Dainties

PLEASE NOTE! This collection includes three types of designs: corners, motifs, and in-the-hoop hankies (as shown in the stitch file images to the left). The corner designs are sized to fit most 4×4 and 5×7 hoops, the motif designs will fit most 4×4 hoops, and the in-the-hoop hankie designs require a hoop with a stitch field of 9.4″ x 9.4″. If you do NOT have a large enough hoop for the in-the-hoop hankie designs, you may wish to purchase just the corners and motifs in a separate set – CLICK HERE to find that! 

This collection contains six different ornate designs in four variations each: a motif, a corner (includes a cutting line intended to be placed at the edge of a hankie), an in-the-hoop hankie with a tiny scalloped edge, and an in-the-hoop hankie with a large scalloped edge. There are also two blank in-the-hoop hankie designs (tiny scalloped edge & large scalloped edge) in case you want to create your own design combination or showcase a beautiful print!

The motif designs are great to add to pre-made or purchased handkerchiefs or other elegant projects you may have in mind. The corner designs may also be added to pre-made/purchased handkerchiefs, but they’re even more perfect for when you want to make your own handkerchief. Instructions are included to embroider the corner designs on an unhemmed fabric square and then create a narrow rolled hem on your sewing machine! You can also make a hankie with mitered corners and one of your sewing machine’s lovely hemming motif stitches! (Click HERE to read Evy’s blog post about that!) The in-the-hoop hankie designs allow you to create beautiful handkerchiefs all in the hoop! The finished hankies are about 9.4″ x 9.4″.
