Haute Pads

Who doesn’t need new potholders? Whether you are taking something hot out of the oven or protecting your tabletop from hot pots or dishes, why not make a potholder as pretty as it is practical? Made completely in the hoop (with only one bit of machine sewing for a finishing touch, which is optional), these hot mats are perfect for gifting as well as keeping for yourself!

There are 4 different sizes of potholders in this set: 5″, 6″, 7.78″, and 9.11″. (The 5″ size is perfectly sized for a large cup of tea or for that drippy honey pot!)

Each size comes in two styles of quilting: a traditional grid quilting and an all-over stippling. These are perfect for showcasing a fun print or using up fabric scraps. You might also choose to add lettering and/or other embroidery right there in the hoop as you work! (The PDF step-by-step instructions also show how to do that.) For example, the Haute Pads in the last six photos are embellished with additional embroidery from the following sets:
Holly Vines, Fall Fields, Meadow Flowers, Fancy Frames, and Queen Sew & Sew. (Those designs are not included in this set.)
