Stippled Framed Blocks

Evy loves to use these stippled framed blocks in her projects! This set contains 5 different stippled framed blocks in two variations each—one with satin stitching around the inside opening of the frame and one with candlewick stitching. The stippling inside the frame stitches separately from the stippling outside the frame so that you can match your stippling thread to both inner and outer frame fabrics! Two plain blocks of stippling are also included. (The plain blocks are useful for projects such as a tote bag when you need to create a stippled back for your project the same size as the stippled framed block.)

The square, notch, and circle framed block designs are 9″ x 9″. The oval and rectangle framed block designs are 9.37″ x 11.74″.

The front of our sample pillow was made by joining four stippled blocks together; those blocks were created using the Notch Stippled Candlewick Frame design from this set and four different appliqués from Dear Pooh Appliqués. 

The front of our sample tote bag was made using the Oval Stippled Candlewick Frame design from this set and the Applique Pooh Dandelion design from Dear Pooh Appliqués. 

Step-by-step embroidery instructions for the stippled framed block designs also tell you how to add a design of your choice inside the frame. Also included with this set are directions for adding fabric strips around a single stippled block to enlarge the block so you can use it for a mini wall hanging or a pillow; instructions for joining multiple stippled blocks together with sashing so that you can make a larger wall hanging or mini quilt; and directions showing you how to make a pillow just like our sample Winnie-the-Pooh pillow using four completed blocks.
