Sock Bunny

Make a Sock Bunny doll! This sewing project was originally featured in the Spring 2023 issue of Classic Sewing magazine, and the instructions are now available to purchase here as well. There’s a free pattern for a pair of bunny britches – the instructions are on Evy’s blog! There’s also a blog post with directions for a doll dress that will fit your bunny as well. 

PLEASE NOTE – This is primarily a sewing project. The bunny’s face is the only embroidery component, and there are both machine and hand embroidery options for that. 

You have the following options to choose from:

• Sock Bunny kit only (in case you already have the Spring 2023 issue of Classic Sewing and do not need to purchase the instructions & face design) 
• Sock Bunny kit AND download – the download contains the sewing instructions to make the bunny, machine embroidery designs for a girl and a boy bunny face, and a hand embroidery pattern for the face designs (in case you don’t have an embroidery machine) 
• Download only (containing the sewing instructions to make the bunny, machine embroidery designs for a girl and a boy bunny face, and a hand embroidery pattern for the faces as well)

If you choose to include a kit, it will contain:

• Two extra-long tube socks (your choice of brown or white – see options below)
• One 2” pompom (white)
• 8.5” x 9” self-adhesive wash-away stabilizer
• Printed hand embroidery pattern* for a boy bunny face and a girl bunny face
