This is one of my favorite products to use for preventing “show-through” of darker colored fabric under lighter colored thread areas of embroidery designs. It’s made of 100% polypropylene and is washable and dry cleanable. Since it is soft and very pliable, it does not add stiffness to the design nor cause the stitches to buckle. Simply place it over the fabric where the design will stitch and then stitch your design. Tear away as much as you can. Any tiny bits that remain at the edges of the embroidery may be melted away by gently touching them with the tip of a hot mini-iron!
This product is recommended for small fill or satin stitch areas only. It is sold by the yard and by the bolt at many fine sewing and craft stores. You can order a 8” x 24” sample piece here to give it a try!
