This article illustrates the use of machine embroidery cutwork designs to create lacy borders on felted wool. The designs are from the Medallion Cutwork collection. The little scarf shown in the photo on the right is the piece of “felted cutwork” that the editor used a piece of to make the Christmas stocking on the cover of this issue.
